Prompt, Compassionate Attention When You Need It Most
Dental emergencies can be alarming, intensely painful, and stressful. At BB Dental Care, Dr. Bryanna Hubbard brings post-graduate training from the Hospital Dentistry Program at the UCLA School of Dentistry, enabling expert diagnosis and rapid management of acute dental trauma, severe facial infections, cracked teeth, and sudden toothaches.
Located at 916 W. Burbank Blvd (Suite A), our boutique practice is equipped with high-resolution digital 3D imaging, gentle local anesthetics, and relaxing amenities to stop your pain immediately and restore your peace of mind.
Common Dental Emergencies & Immediate Steps
Severe Toothache or Swelling
Rinse gently with warm salt water. Floss carefully to remove trapped debris. Never place aspirin directly against the gum tissue, as this causes chemical burns. Take ibuprofen if tolerated and call us immediately to treat the underlying pulp infection or abscess.
Knocked-Out (Avulsed) Tooth
Handle the tooth only by the crown, never the delicate root. Gently rinse with milk or saline if dirty. Attempt to reinsert into the socket, or store the tooth in cold whole milk. Time is critical—seek professional dental care within 60 minutes.
Chipped, Cracked, or Broken Tooth
Save any broken tooth fragments and keep them moist. Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek to reduce swelling. Dr. Hubbard can repair the tooth with composite bonding, a custom ceramic crown, or restorative inlay.
Lost Dental Crown or Filling
Keep the crown clean and bring it to your appointment. Temporary dental cement or sugar-free gum can temporarily shield sensitive exposed dentin until Dr. Hubbard permanently re-cements or replaces the restoration.
Open Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Dental emergencies don't wait for Monday morning. While many Burbank dental offices (including next-door practices) are closed on weekends, BB Dental Care is fully staffed on Saturdays to handle urgent extractions, root canal pain, broken restorations, and dental trauma.
Frequently Asked Questions About Emergency Care
How quickly can I be seen for a dental emergency in Burbank?
We prioritize emergency patients and offer same-day appointments. If you are experiencing severe tooth pain, swelling, or trauma, call our office immediately at (818) 256-3060 and our triage team will prepare an operatory for your arrival.
Are you open on Saturdays for dental emergencies?
Yes! BB Dental Care is open on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Many dental emergencies happen over the weekend when other practices are closed. We are here to provide urgent relief without emergency room wait times.
What should I do if a permanent tooth is completely knocked out?
Locate the tooth immediately. Handle it only by the crown (the top white part), never touch the root. Gently rinse off dirt with milk or saline—do not scrub or use soap. If possible, gently place the tooth back into its socket. If not, place it in a cup of cold whole milk or inside your cheek to keep the cells hydrated, and get to our office within 60 minutes for the highest chance of saving the tooth.
What if I do not have dental insurance for my emergency visit?
We believe urgent pain relief should be accessible to everyone. We offer a dedicated Emergency Exam & X-Ray special for uninsured patients and provide flexible, interest-free payment options through CareCredit and Cherry Financing.
